Meet Amy Tursi
Amy had suffered trauma to an upper front tooth when she was very young. As a result, the tooth root had begun to resorb. If not treated, the root would have been so weakened that the tooth would be at risk of fracture.
Amy's tooth was extracted and a dental implant placed using a minimally invasive technique. A temporary tooth was affixed to the implant that day. This allowed Amy to smile and function as before, while the implant healed. A final abutment and crown was made after the implant had become completely integrated.
