April 4, 2019 – Philadelphia/Paoli, PA – Amsterdam Dental Group, a leader in periodontal prosthesis and periodontics, is pleased to announce five (5) of its dual-trained dental specialists have been named Philadelphia Magazine’s Top Dentists™ 2019 – Prosthodontics/Cosmetic Dentistry. Trained in periodontal prosthesis and periodontics, Drs. Harold Baumgarten, Howard Fraiman, Jeffrey Ingber and Brian Kasten were recognized in the area of Prosthodontics; Dr. Caleb Cross was named for his skill in Cosmetic Dentistry.
According to Philadelphia Magazine, each year the publication sends letters to every dentist in Philadelphia and the surrounding seven-county area to the address on record, inviting them to nominate up to three peers for Top Dentists in each dental specialty via an online survey. Five hundred and thirty-four dentists responded to the survey, amounting to more than 4,800 votes. The resulting list of top vote-getters in each specialty (including all those who were tied) was reviewed by an advisory board made up of nine dentists, chosen for their credentials and the high number of votes they received.
These awards are the most recent accolades received by Amsterdam Dental Group and its professionals. The practice, which was established by Dr. Morton Amsterdam who also pioneered the world-renowned dual-specialty Periodontal Prosthesis Program at Penn Dental Medicine, has become one of the most highly regarded in the local, national and international dental community. It is currently the only one in the world with five (5) graduates of the Penn Dental Medicine Periodontal Prosthesis Program, each of whom are frequently asked to lecture and take advisory board positions within their respective specialties. Along with general dentist, Dr. M. Barry Moskowitz, the team of specialists, who all attended Penn Dental Medicine, maintain close ties with the alumni community and most hold active roles in various academic departments.
